WATER CHANGES OF STATE

-      MELTING:   If you heat a solid, it melts into a liquid. Ex. Ice melts and becomes liquid water.

-       EVAPORATION:   If you heat a liquid, it changes into a gas. Ex. Water evaporates and becomes water vapour.

-        SOLIDIFICATION: If you cool a liquid, it changes into a solid. Ex. Liquid water solidifies and becomes ice.

-        CONDENSATION: If you cool a gas, it changes into a liquid. Ex. Water vapour condenses and becomes drops of water.
